Q + A

Where should I stay?

For easy convenience to the Ceremony/Reception, we recommend staying in downtown Charleston or Mount Pleasant. Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms are great options if you want to stay at the beach, and would be a 25-minute drive to the Ceremony/Reception. For Airbnbs/hotels downtown, we recommend staying near King Street (Cannon Street/Spring Street for Airbnbs). For Airbnbs/hotels in Mount Pleasant, we recommend staying near the Ravenel Bridge, Patriots Point, and Old Village.

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Yes, parking is available onsite. However, Uber/Lyft is strongly encouraged. Following the reception, buses will transport guests to multiple locations including Muddy's for those attending the after party as well as Hotel Indigo in Mount Pleasant and Downtown Charleston. A bus will additionally be available to take guests from Muddy's to Downtown Charleston at the conclusion of the after party. Downtown drop-off will be at 54 Cannon Street.

Is there parking nearby for the post toast?

As Prohibition is located on King Street, parking will be very limited. King Street is largely blocked off at night, so Uber/Lyft is strongly encouraged.

What is the attire?

The ceremony/reception is black tie optional, meaning midi or full-length dresses for women and tuxedos or suits for men.

When should I book my hotel/Airbnb?

As soon as possible! The annual Cooper River Bridge Run is the 3rd largest 10k in the U.S., attracting thousands of people to Charleston every year and falls on our wedding day. Hotels and Airbnbs will book quickly, and we encourage you to confirm your stay at least 8 months in advance.

The Question on Everyone's Lips: Where Should We Eat?

As self-proclaimed foodies, Tesh & Raleigh have spent their years in Charleston wining & dining at all the newest, hippest, most famous, smallest, you-name-it restaurants. Plus, given her job in hospitality PR, Tesh has long since perfected a "Where to Eat in Charleston" list. Please enjoy a selection of our favorites below, and we strongly encourage making reservations 1 month in advance.

Breakfast

Babas on Cannon - Get the Peanut Milk latte, stay for the banana bread. Also, come back for happy hour and sip on Tiny Tini's and snack on caviar with kettle chips. And when you meet bridal party member Chandler Stone, make sure to ask him about his love for Babas' Tiny Tini's.

The Daily - Mentally prepare to wait in line, and then understand why it was worth the wait when your breakfast burrito with bacon arrives. Also, whipped feta toast because why not. A must-visit for Carole each trip to Charleston.

Welton's Tiny Bakeshop - A tiny bakery with a big impact.

Alcove Market - Get the oats and go for a stroll around Colonial Lake. Shelby, Reagan, and Lilly are regulars!

Lunch

Leon's Oyster Shop - Fried chicken and oysters, need we say more? Get the tiny bud light or the frozen G&T. And the scalloped potatoes will change your life, just ask Julianna.

Home Team - Perfect for any day, any occasion. Standouts include the nachos, tots (a must) and wings washed down with an Irish Coffee or Game Changer.

Cafecito - Order the Cuban sandwich and understand why it's Raleigh's current hyper fixation.

167 Raw - Skip the crowds and enjoy for lunch! The lobster roll and tuna burger pair perfectly with a spicy marg and a dozen oysters.

Dinner

Verns - where it all began! Not really, but we did get engaged here. The sourdough flatbread will have you falling in love, too.

Melfi's - This Italian restaurant (and sister restaurant to Leon's) will have you feeling like you're in the heart of West Village. Incredible negronis, martinis, pizza, & pasta. Mmm.

Renzo - An under-the-radar pizza spot with delicious cocktails, apps and homemade ranch. The owners are lovely and vibes are immaculate! Some of Tesh's favorite early Charleston nights were spent here with Mckenzie, Meredith and Kate.

Lowland - A newer Charleston restaurant that holds its own amongst the city's restaurant scene. Olivia will tell you she loves their martini, and the celery salad is not to miss.

Husk - An oldie but a goodie! Fun fact, Raleigh took Tesh here for her birthday when they first moved to Charleston.

Chubby Fish - for the hardcore foodies. No reservations, and you must get in line at 4 PM to put your name down when they open at 5 PM. It's worth the wait, but best for smaller parties. Elena drives straight from Atlanta to the restaurant every time she visits, sending Will to wait in line for us.
